Thoughts on Remembering…

On the way home from dropping the girls off at school this morning I was listening to Fox News on the radio. Today is the 11-year anniversary of the 9/11 attacks on the United States of America. As they shared portions of the actual footage from that dreadful day I couldn’t help but cry and remember. Here’s part of what I wrote eleven years ago:

Where were you on September 11, 2001?  Like most Americans I imagine that you can probably recite where you were and exactly what you were doing when the horrible terrorists attacks on our country began to unfold.  The morning of September 11th at approximately 8:40am I boarded a USAir flight out of Buffalo heading to Albany.  Our flight landed at Albany airport at 9:35am and we all deboarded the plane with absolutely no knowledge of what we would come to find out.  I will never forget the overwhelming sense of fear and sorrow I felt as I watched the horrific acts of hate on the United States.  » Read more
