I’m Falling Apart, Mommy
A few weeks ago, my youngest daughter, Camryn Lynn walked through a couple of tough days. While playing basketball outside with her older sister, Erin, the competition got a little rough and Erin accidentally elbowed Cam in the mouth. Much to her dismay, a baby tooth fell out as a result. And the basketball game ended. Cam doesn’t like losing teeth. In fact, she recently had four baby teeth pulled because she just couldn’t seem to let go. The following day, she lost another tooth located above the one that got knocked out. And if that wasn’t enough – Camryn was then diagnosed with strep throat. As we sat on my bed the night she found out she had strep, Cam just started crying big crocodile tears. She looked at me and said “I’m falling apart mommy.” Without even thinking, I responded. “Cam, sometimes we need to fall apart so that Jesus can put us back together.” » Read more
